How do I subscribe to Savings Bonds

	Subscription is a very simple process. Obtain the application form from any of SHCIL notified centers across India.
	SHCIL officials will assist you in filling up your application form.
	Fill up ALL the relevant columns provided in the Application Form. e.g. For NECS facility, a proof of the NECS Account like Cancelled Cheque / Banker's Certification authenticating the Account No. and MICR details.
	Attach a cheque / draft / pay order in accordance with the application you want to make for the requisite amount in favour of : "Stock Holding Corporation of India Ltd. A/c GOI 8.0% Savings(Taxable) Bonds "
	A Certificate of Holding will be issued specifying the investment(s) made under the Bond Ledger Account. The Date of Investment will be the Date of Realization of the instrument(s).
	Please refer to the Checklist for the list of documents to be submitted alongwith the application form.

Documents required Section :

For Change of Nomination :

1) A written request duly signed by the first Holder
2) Nomination Form duly filled and signed by the Nominee
3) Signature of the nominee attested by the bank of the nominee
4) Bank Details of the nominee
5)Address of the nominee
6) PAN Card Copy of the Nominee

For Transmission :

1) A written request duly signed by the existing holder/nominee
2) Attested Copy of the Death Certificate of the Deceased Holder
3) Original Certificate of Holding
4) Address, Bank details of the existing holder/nominee alongwith the cancelled cheque/ cheque copy and address proof
5) PAN card Copy of the existing Holder/ nominee
6) Signature of the Nominee to be verified /attested by the bank manager.

For Pledge/ Lien Marking in favour of Bank (3 sets of all Documents) :

1) Duly Filled Form XIV - (Form 14)
2) Covering Letter from Bank (on bank letter head) mentioning the Lien Mark.
3) Bank PAN Card Copy.
4) Original Certificate of Holding.
5) List of Authorized signatories of Bank.

For Repayment of Pledge (3 sets of all Documents) :

1) Duly filled Form XVI - (Form 16).
2) Covering Letter from Bank (on bank letter head) mentioning the Lien Mark.
3) Bank PAN Card Copy.
4) Original Certificate of Holding.
5) List of Authorized signatories of Bank.

For Invoke in name of Bank (Invocation) (3 sets of all Documents) :

1) Duly filled Form XV - (Form 15).
2) Covering Letter from Bank (on bank letter head) mentioning the Lien Mark.
3) Bank PAN Card Copy.
4) Original Certificate of Holding.
5) List of Authorized signatories of Bank.
